Gerald and Ginger Conner along with their son, Guy, left Florence, AL in their 51’ Bluewater Coastal Cruiser in 1985 to do the Great Loop. In 1986 the Conner’s had gone to the Great Lakes, through Canada, down the East Coast, up the Gulf Coast to Ft. Walton Beach, FL where they decided to make their home so Guy could finish high school.

In 1990 once Guy was finished with high school they set out to finish the last leg of the Great Loop, intercoastal waterway to the Gulf of Mobile to the Tenn-Tom Waterway, which would bring them back home to Florence, AL.

However, the Conner’s stopped at Midway Marina, MM 394 on the Tenn-Tom Waterway, for the night and as fate would have it, they decided to buy the marina. Midway Marina has been home to the Conner’s ever since.

Gerald and Ginger officially retired in the fall of 2017 by selling the marina to their children; Guy Conner & his wife Erin, and Gina Conner Hutson.

The Conner’s implemented so many things they had learned on their Great Loop trip to make the Midway Marina what it is today.

We look forward to having you visit or stay for ever.
